Aerobics/DVD's?

Question
Hi,
I am wondering what workout DVD's you would recommend for a teenage girl to get toned and fit. I am at 135 and I am 5'6. I horseback ride once a week and do lots of walking everyday. I don't eat lots of junk, but in moderation. I currently have the full Hip Hop Abs set, and a Denise Austin "Customize you own workout" and am wondering if you think they are any good. Also, I have no idea what order to do them in during the week or how many times a week I should be doing them. Can you please help me?

Answer
Hi-
As for DVD's specifically made for teens, I don't know of any.  However, if I were a teen, I would start at the library and check out a few before I bought anything.  As for the titles that you mention, I know that I've heard great things about Hip Hop Abs and I've personally tried a few of Denise Austin's collection but not the one you mention specifically.

Without knowing your specific body type, I can only give very basic suggestions on the frequency of when you do the exercises.  It sounds like you are doing some form of cardiovascular exercise everday which is great, and if you want to get toned, then you also need to incorporate some form of resistance training into your routine at least 2-3 times per week.  As far as the order to do them in, that is not as important as the fact that you are getting it done and warming up before starting your cardio.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.
