Hi. I was wondering if you would be able to tell me what the average salary is for an aerobics teacher, fitness instructor and/or personal trainer. Thanks!

Hi Caitlin,
Salaries vary from club to club and experience.  For new instructors at big chain clubs pay the lowest.  They can start at $12 a class to $50 per class.  The average for experienced is probably $20-$30.
Personal trainers can charge on their own if they have equipment and do it it their homes.  If they work out of a club they are paid less since they are given clients and they use the club.  I think it can be between $20-30 an hour.  Again, it depends on the club, your certifications and experience.

Don't forget that as an instructor you have to buy all your music which can be expensive, your certifications and CEU's.  It's not really a way to make a living.  When you don't teach you don't get paid.
