Question
We all know that exercise speeds up your metabolism but for how long? I have heard this 2 ways:

#1 That after exercise the metaabolism stays at the increased rate of the exercise performed after done exercising for the duration the exercise was.

#2 That after exercise the metaabolism stays at the increased rate of the exercise performed after done exercising for a period of 2 hours.

Which one is correct? or are either correct

Also they say to exercise at your target heart rate for 15-20 minutes for fat burn, what occurs after that time has passed, do you continue to burn fat or not?

Answer
First question, answer:  Both #1 and #2 are true.

Next question--answer:  As long as you are alive, your body consumes calories.  Whether or not the calories sthat your body is using are coming from [I am assuming you mean]stored fat,is dependant on your body's state of being and/or genetics.
