Question
I have been teaching a long time also & have a very successful program & now taking on another gym with a very small staff, low moral & they really need help.  What expectations should I set for them & how do you rally your troups?  Thank you, Ruthann Zentner

Answer
Hi Ruthann,
The important thing is to get them together and ask them what works and what doesn't.  They need to be heard and take their suggestions and see what you all can do as a team.  That will increase their morale.  They probably need equipment and some training to excite them.  Try to encourage them to attend IDEA in July and if you can help subsidize them or do a fundraiser to send 1 or 2 instructors to get new ideas.
It's all about your leadership skills, giving them a voice, being a mentor and injecting excitement and hope.  Have incentives for the team to bring in new members, decorate the place...
It is really about you and what you bring to the place.  Good luck!
