Question
Hello my name is Jeremy, I'm 21 years old and a little over weight. I have a question about cardio workouts.  I would like to know if doing cardio an hour a day for five days out of the week like monday to Friday was too much on my body, and, or heart.  If so what would be the best way to do a lot of cardio without hurting myself, like how long can I workout a week.

Answer
Hi Jeremy-
Doing cardio for 5 hours a week is just fine, depending on what you are doing.  I don't think you should be doing the same thing day in and day out, you should definitely add variety to your workouts.   You didn't mention what kind of cardio you are doing but mix it up throughout the week to stay interested and to avoid injury.

Thanks for the question!
