Question
I'm 27 & 5ft 2''  petite.I read shape,
self, ect.Everyone seems 2 have a different opinoin about
diet/exercise. I'm in  shape, but a perfectionist..I've done the
south beach diet for about 3-4 weeks, it was HARD 'cuz carbs/
sugar r my addiction! My mom said I got too thin, but I loved
how my clothes fit & my lower belly was flat! My boobs almost
disappeared, not so good! IT'S HARD 2 TONE/FIRM.CAN I
KEEP MY CHEST & HAVE A FLAT BELLY? IS THERE A WAY 2 KEEP
THE FAT IN THE FACE & BE THIN? I HEARD WALKING @ AN
INCLINE IS BETTER THEN JOGGING & RUNNING IS BAD 'CUZ IT
PULLS THE SKIN & CAUSES LOSS OF ELASTISITY(ACCORDING 2 A
PLASTIC SURGEON) What 2 do?! I strive 4 a celeb body..toned &
curves in right places.I struggle  w/depression, I'm active
then I'm always sleeping! I yo-yo SO much! I hate when I do.
Waiting 4 any kind of helpful advice, maybe u know someone
like me & can tell me what helped?  Thanks, Bianca

Answer
Bianca,
Being a perfectionist will only bring you heartache.  I suggest you find a therapist that specializes in body dysphoria.  If you can learn to love yourself no matter what your body looks like you will be happier.  I'm not saying to stop exercising or wanting to look fit.  It's about health not having celeb body.  Remember, celebs pay for their bodies.
People must be attracted to you for who you are, not for your body.
I'm a psychotherapist as well as a fitness professional.  Trust me, get some help and find balance in your life--life is too short to concentrate only on the outside of your body.
