Hi.  I guess I have a simple question to ask.  When you do sit ups, should you hold your breath or not.  When I do them, I find that I usually hold my breath.

Answer
Good question. You should breathe regularly.  Why hold your breath?  You'll pass out!  Try exhaling on the hard part (up), inhaling on the easier part (lowering).   Your body will like you better for it.  It may take you a little time to get used to it because of the habit of holding your breath.
