Aerobics - getting rid of loose skin after weight loss

Question
Hi what is the best way of getting rid of loose skin?
I've had two children and my baby is 6 yrs old now and I have lots of loose skin around my abs, and lower abs. I have very low self esteem about this.  What can I do to start?

Thanks!

Answer
hi Angie,
Well first off alot of women have the same problem with this so your not alone.below are a couple of ways to tighten the skin.

Tone your midsection.  Targeting your abdominal muscles with a variety of crunches and other middle-body exercises on a regular basis will not only help tone your tummy but also reduce the appearance of loose skin. i recommend doing 3-5 sets of 9-15 abdominal exercises at least twice a week. Remember: The key is intensity. In other words, perform each and every rep slowly, carefully and precisely so by the end of the set your abs feel worked.

Build some muscle. Because muscle has a harder, more definite structure than fat, building yourself up may reduce the appearance of loose, saggy skin.To maximize the benefits of weight training, train all of your major muscle groups; start with basic exercises for your buttocks, legs, chest, back, shoulders, arms, abs and lower back. There are a limitless number of exercises that build shapely muscles and help reduce the appearance of flabby skin.

Be realistic.  since youve had children, the skin around your middle may not bounce back to its original shape, but they will look alot better than before.

I hope this has helped you and feel free t ask another question.
