Aerobics/showering after exercise

Question
How long should you wait to shower or bathe after a workout session?

Answer
It depends on how hard the workout session was. And it depends on how hot your shower or bath is.  In general, if you're still breathing harder than normal and your heart rate is up, wait until your breathing returns to normal and your pulse rate slows down. That could be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.  Any cardiovascular (c-v) health condition may necessitate a longer cool-down as well, so it's not so hard on your c-v system.
