Question
When is the proper time during aerobics class to conduct muscle conditioning and what is the proper order for maximum effectiveness?

Answer
Hi Laura,
The proper time to do muscle conditioning is when your body is warmed up enough to bring your core body temperature up at least a couple of degrees.  That ensures that your muscles are warmed up and you won't get injured.  IT doesn't matter what order it's done in.  Most aerobic classes do it after the cardio portion of the class.  There are circuit training classes that do both..aerobic and muscle alternating.
I hope this answers your question.  Don't forget to stretch after the workout.
