Question
Before i ask my question i want to tell you what i do first of all.  I run frequently (pretty much everyday) up to about 6 miles.  Also i lift weights and do sit-ups/the "plank".  I weigh around 155 lbs. and am 5'10.  How much weight do you think i should be able to lift in the military press?  Also i was wondering how can i gain muscle/go up in weight lifting and also be running as much as i do?  Thanks alot, Chris

Answer
Chris,

Glad you're working out.

You need to do more intense weight training if you want to get stronger and gain muscle.  If you're not making gains, it means your current weight lifting program is not hard enough for you.  If you feel you don't have the energy to do a more intense weight lifting program, then you'll need to cut back on your running.  It's hard to be both an aerobic athlete and a strength athlete at the same time.  Usually you have to compromise in one area or the other.  It doesn't mean you have to cut out running altogether, but you need to do some adjustments in order to get more results in the strength area.

If you're serious about this, get together with a qualified trainer in your area at least a couple of times to set you up on a program.  It's worth it if you really want to achieve your goals.

Hope this helps.
