Question
Hi. I'm a student and want to exercise to improve my mental performance. How should I schedule my exercise to best do this? To clarify my concern I'll give an example. Eating is good for sports but you won't do well if you eat a big meal just before sports. How can I make exercise and study work together without interfering?

Thanks, Thicht

Answer
Hi Thicht,
To improve mental performance at school you should eat a balanced healthy breakfast before you go.  Take fruit with you so you can have a snack mid morning.  Eat a healthy lunch with some protein so you will stay alert after lunch.  When you get home from school, eat a piece of fruit or some veggies and then go exercise.  When you have exercised up to one hour, go study.  That should do it.  Don't forget to eat a healthy dinner.  Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and you will feel great.
