Question
Dear sir,
We are Burmese-Canadians, currently residing in China. My son is in grade 10 at Nanjing international School, doing IB programme. He needs to choose the subjects for high school IB diploma very soon. As he wants to be an Aeronautical engineer, could you please guide us what kind of preparations he may need during his senior years in high school? He was in honor roll back home but still struggling with IB programme since we moved here.
Thanking you in advance.

Your son needs to take as many math and science classes as possible since that is the essence of engineering.  The best science courses are the so-called hard sciences - physics and chemistry and electronics.  But even biology might be helpful if he winds up in bio-engineering instead of aero.  Computer classes would be very helpful as would any classes in English composition (or the language of his choice). Best of luck.

Thanks.
