Aeronautical Engineering/How to find a aeronautical engineer job?

Question
Hi Rajeevlochanam,

I am a recent grad with double major in aeronautical and mechanical engineering. I don't have much engineering experience except my senior projects and one year on my school's RC aircraft design team. It seems really hard for me to land a job on aeronautical engineering. My gpa is about 2.8 which is not satisfying. Now I end up having a nonengineering part time job. I know hope is the last thing to lose and I am still passionate about aeronautical engineering.

The field I am interested in are structural analysis (ABAQUS), stability control, heat transfer, and aircraft design. Is there anything for me to do to make myself more competitive in the job market (in BayArea) besides doing tutorials on ABAQUS and AutoCAD? Thank you for your time.

-Peter
