Question
Hi paul I will currently get my degree in aerospace eng when I turn forty from cal. state long beach. do you think my age and school choice will hamper my job prospects.

Answer
Michael
I wouldn't think so.  Forty is not that old, especially to me at 64, and it is illegal to discriminate by age.  Besides, maturity and experience are a plus.

As to your school, I don't know anything about Cal State Long Beach, but it doesn't matter, it is what you have learned and how your grades are that count.  You can always go back and get a Masters some place else.  Many companies will pay for graduate study, which can really help your expertise and salary.
