Question
QUESTION: hey..my name is parth.m frm new jersy ,US.
m very keenly interested in doing aeronautical engeerring but th main problem  m going through is th opinion of th people. i mean these days eeverybody is saying that th economy of america is going very low so there is no scope of doing any engeneering.one vont b able to make a gud amount of money in US going with this kindda economy, in engeneerig.
so i jusy want your suggestion reagarding this thing ,whether i shud go for aero eng or  just as per seeing th senario if th country's economy shud go for smthing else rather than engennering. Is aero a really gud option to make carreer.because i don wanna do anything in which i hav to study for atlest 5-6 years n at last just land up in 50-60 thousand anuallly..so it will very nice of u if u could help me with this problem.
thnak you

ANSWER: Parth - The economy is bad, but I would be very surprised if an engineer with decent grades could not find a good job.  Check the Boeing website to see what jobs are available.  The jobs require special skills and many are only open to U.S. citizens, but there are jobs open.

My advice is to plan a career based on what you want to do with your life.  The economy will go up and down.  If you have a valuable skill like engineering you can succeed better than most.  One thing, though, you need to learn to spell before going to college.  If you turned in a paper like your question to me, you would not pass.  Good luck.

QUESTION: hey Paul,
i got what you are trying to say. thank you very much for the advice . and am sorry for that writing style as you know by using this e-mail, chatting and sms stuff am just use to of using abbreviations.
so ok i will see what exactly i want to do. and yeah one more thing if i will be like going for aero than i have heard of a university like Embry-Riddle aernautical institute,FLorida .so i want to know if its a good university to opt for. is it really very reputed in aeronautical field.because i am qualifying for that university as per my SAT scores. so if its a good school than i would think of sending my application to that. other university are also there which i been looking like Boston university, Georgia tech , like that.
but i definitely wont be able to go for MIT ,Princeton or Stanford..bec i know am not qualified for those extremely high level schools .so if u got any idea about the American schools for aeronautical engineering then please suggest me something of an above average school. right now i am in 12th grade of my high school.so i have to start my college application procedure.so your advice will be very helpful to me.
and yeah as you can see this time i have taken care of my spelling and English, right.
anyway .thanks once again and hope to receive a  response soon.

A list of the best engineering schools in the U.S. can be found here:

I have no opinion on Embry Riddle because I have never met a graduate from that school.

As to your spelling and grammar - you need much more work. I suggest a class or tutor in English composition.  You really need it before college.
