Question
Hi. This is Shams from Montreal,Canada. I would like to know what is required to become " Flight Engineer". can a Mech Engg be a Flight Engg. Also if possible, please advise me if Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is worth to go for Aero engg (offered by Mechanical department in its last year of Mech engg). Thanks

Answer
I assume a flight engineer is someone who has taken pilot training, and has specialized in aircraft systems.  I am not aware of an academic program like that, it is probably accomplished through the airline or flight training schools.

Sorry, I am not familiar wih Concordia, but I have worked with good aero engineers from Quebec.  Talk to someone at Bombardier.
