Question
What are the disadvantages of this occupation?

What would you say your salary range would be in high, medium, or low?

What are some surprises about your career that you did not anticipate?
Could please get back to me with the answers, since I need to finish my paper that requires an interview with an engineer in the field I'm researching (aeronautical/aerospace engineering).

Thanks,
Austin Mahnke

Answer
1.  Aeronautical engineering is closely tied to one industry - the aerospace industry.  If that industry has a down period, the profession suffers.

2.  Medium

3.  I was surprised to find myself working at the same place for 37 years.  I guess I liked it.
