Aeronautical engineers work in the Aerospace Industry designing, testing, evaluating, predicting the performance of aircraft and other aerospace products.  I'm not sure what the career prospects are.  I know nothing of India and the U.S. economy is in bad shape, unemployment is rising daily, and it is difficult to paint a rosy picture, especially for foreigners.  But that can all change.  Who knows what the future holds.
