Answer
Hi Thalib

The bad news is that we would not be able to accept you on our aerospace engineering programmes with the subjects that you have - you need Maths and a Science or Engineering subject for entry, and this applies for all UK Universities.

The good news is that we have created programmes especially for applicants with this problem - our Aerospace Technology and Management programme leads to a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree rather than Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), and does not carry accreditation from the Engineering Institutions. In practice this is not a major issue, and many of our graduates go on to excellent jobs in industry with BSc degrees. I remember visiting one of our students on his year out in industry (third year) at Airbus in Toulouse, where he did very well. We also have a BSc programme called Aerospace Technology with Pilot Studies.

I am not the Admissions Tutor, but know from a previous conversation that the best way forward is to go to our website at www.herts.ac.uk and click on the Study With Us link. Then click on Our Courses, then Aerospace Engineering - this will give details of the BSc as well as BEng programmes. Click on How to Apply to get more information on the applications process, including a link to the application itself.

Good luck, and maybe I'll see you soon!
