Question
what does aeronautical engineering entail and what is the duration of the course

Answer
Aeronautical Engineering is the study of flight and entails all related subjects such as aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, thermodynamics, dynamics, propulsion, electronics, chemistry, math, and much more.  The B.S. degree can be obtained in four to five years.  Higher degrees take additional time.

Check engineering school websites for details (e.g. University of Washington - Seattle).
