Question
hello sir, can you please tell me about muti-sensor fire detection system in aircraft.....i had confusion in multi-sensor (ie) a particular sensor having more in numbers... or a different types sensor in one detection system......

Answer
My understanding that aircraft can and should use multiple fire detection sensors that perform the following measurements:

Optical Sensors/Smoke Meter (% Obscuration)
Thermal Sensors (Temperature)
Gas Sensors (CO and CO2)
Ionization Technology Ionization Technology

So, there are probably multiple sensors that do various types of sampling rather than one sensor that does it all.
