Question What function does an antenna fulfill? what does the principal of reciprocity say about the properties of the antenna?
Answer Hi Imran,
An antenna receives or transmits electromagnetic signals. If it is receiving, it converts electromagnetic radiation into an electrical signal. The same antenna may also convert an electrical signal into an electromagnetic wave. This is the principle of reciprocity.
Hope this helps,
Steve
ps. I don't know the full answer to this, but I googled "radio antenna" and "antenna reciprocity". Please try to do some research on your own. It is fun!
