Question I am now in my final year in high school in Kenya. Would you recommend a young teenager like me to take Aeronautical engineer or I should just do something else? This is because I have a passion for flying but one of my teachers has been telling me that the course is just too hard. Kindly advice.Thank you.
Answer Dennis
I can't advise you on a career path because I don't know the opportunities in your country nor your interests and abilities. However, in most parts of the world engineering is a great profession because few people have the skills to deal with modern technology like engineers do. If you can handle the math and science, I think you could do well by studying engineering. As to the difficulty of aeronautical engineering study, I would say it is no more difficult than mechanical, or civil, or any other branch of engineering. They all require learning the basic math and science required to do the job.
Aeronautics, Fluid Mechanics, Aeroacoustics, Noise Control, Muffler Design, Wind Tunnel Research.... I know nothing about India - do not ask about schools, jobs, application requirements, career choices, etc. for India. Please, no text message verbiage; I prefer full words in full sentences. Thanks.
