Aeronautical Engineering/Windmill propellors

Question
I am interested in the effect a windmill propellor has on airflow turbulence / energy loss etc  downwind  of the blade. Also any links to any studies of such
Thanks

The energy or power generated by the wind turbine is equal to the energy or power removed from the wind. Of course mechanical and electrical efficiencies must be considered.  Wind turbine power data are often published on line. The wake can extend long distances downstream as shown by various photos - do a google search on wind turbine wake.  I also found a paper that may help:  S. Larwood - Wind Turbine Wake Measurements in the Operating Region of a Tail Vane; NREL/CP-500-29132; Jan. 2001.  It might also be available through the AIAA 39th Aerospace Sciences Meeting, Reno Nevada Jan. 2001;  I was able to download a pdf file using the above google search.
