Question
Hi,I want to know if there is any difference between AME and aeronautical engg, what are the prospects of AME in USA.
..Thanks

Answer
I assume AME is Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, which is a program I have never seen but assume it has a lot to do with aircraft structure, maintenance, avionics, and so on.  Aeronautical Engineering is the theoretical study of all things related to flight:  aerodynamics, gas dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, dynamics, propulsion, stability and control, elasticity, structural design, mathematics, physics, strength of materials, electronics, and more.

The prospects of AME in the U.S. are fair but hampered by the poor economy. We are in a slump that may or may not turn around in a reasonable time.  I suspect the burden of running two wars will keep us in a slump, but I am no economist.
