Aeronautical Engineering/Switch from Electronics to Aerospace Engineering

Question
Sir

I completed my Undergraduate course in Electronics and Instrumentation from Dubai in September 2010 and have just entered into a 2 year work bond for an IT Company. After completing this in January 2013 I plan to study Masters from a US University, however I want to do this in Aeronautics/Aerospace. Does the fact that (a) My Bachelor's is from an Electronics background and (b) my 2 years of Work Experience are from an IT background detract from a university granting me admission to an Aerospace Graduate Program? Also concerning Letters of Recommendation that might be required at the time of applying, do those from my office superiors count or would I have to come back to my Undergraduate Professors?

Thanks

I doubt that Electronics and Instrumentation or IT are adequate preparation for graduate work in aeronautics.  However, it may be possible to enroll with the requirement to pick up certain undergraduate courses needed to get you up to speed.  It depends on what courses you took in your undergraduate school.  You should contact the aeronautics department chairman or admissions officer of the department you wish to enter.  They can tell you much more clearly what is required than I can.

I am sure your most recent work superiors could provide letters of recommendation that would be suitable.  Any from your school would be helpful but not necessary.  Your academic record speaks for them.
