Question
does aeronautics have any relationship with formula1 racing?

Answer
Yes - All race cars have drag and must be designed to minimize that force.  There is drag on the body, the struts, the undercarriage, the airfoil, and so on. The airfoil has to generate the correct down force (negative lift) to keep the car on the road.  The engine inlet must have the correct shape to draw clean inflow.  There are many elements of a race car that would be helped by a good aerodynamicist.

Thanks.
