The idea of an electric aircraft is a fascinating one. I want to do some study and basic research on my own and make my research known and available to the relevant forum. How should I do this? Wikipedia article? Aeronautical forums? Engineering forums? It won't be graduate level research but I feel I could bring together information to add to the existing resource base - or could I?
What do you think?
I have a degree and masters in Computer Science.
Answer The best way to publish your research results is to submit a paper to a scientific journal such as the J. of Aircraft (one of many journals) or to present your results at a technical conference such as one of the many sponsored by the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) or SAE (Society of Automotive Engineering). The conference papers are usually published in the conference proceedings. A visit to a science library should give you an idea of where your kinds of research are often published. It would be good if your paper were critiqued by an impartial expert. And the publisher may require you to submit your paper for review by a panel of experts. Be sure to follow the publisher guidelines that describe the required paper layout. Good luck.
