busy teaching classes, grading work, and organizing research efforts
What are some of the best colleges to go to?
Mississippi State University (of course)...  seriously you can look in US New and World Report (I believe) to find rankings
What is the pay of this job?
between 80K - 150K depending on experience (that's for 9 months)
What is required in college?
PhD
Who are some of the best employers?
Boeing, Lockheed, Northrup-Grumman, univerisities and/or federal labs
Do you work on drones and missiles or just planes
all of the above

What are the skills needed to do this job?
a desire to explain things to students, and a desire to study complex problems to provide ideas for potential solutions
Do you ever test aircraft?
not as a flight test engineer...  my specialty is jet engines and simulation
