Question
Hello...i am planning to do my B.Tech in mechanical in India and then a specialization in M.Tech for aeronautical engineering. Is it possible to actually just do a basic mechanical engineering and then specialize in aeronautical?.This , I am asking you after the suggestion made to me by a retd.air force officer. He says , in the air force , one will not immediately given the job of engineering. The person may be given a job of telephone operation or maintenance of some thing else,.Is this possible?
Waiting for your reply and thanks a lot for sparing time with this question.

Answer
Hi,
It is perfectly possible to do Btech(Mech) followed by Mtech (Aero). All Universities, including IIT's allow this. All U need is a high GATE Exam Scores (entrance Testfor Mtech)

I know lot of pople who have done this succusfully

I cannot comment on military service, i have no exprience, but U can make a succusful career through M Tch (Aero)

bye
