Question
Hi there

My son is to attend college for Aeronautical Engineering.  Problem is that he can't seem to find (or so he says) colleges on the East Coast that have an Aeronautical Engineering program.  Can you possibly guide us in the right direction?

Thank you!

Answer
If you do a google search on aero engineering university, you will find a bunch of them such as:  U. of Maryland, Penn State, Virginia Tech, U. of Michigan, Notre Dame, Cornell, Princeton, and MIT.  I didn't check all those, but I worked with aero engineers who studies at those schools.  And there are probably many more, though some may offer graduate programs and not undergraduate.  If an undergraduate program is not available, an option is to get a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a major in fluid mechanics, and then get an M.S. in Aero Engineering at some other school.  Good luck.
