Question
Hi Pau,

I am not an engineer and want to find out if there is an easy way to find the force required to push a frame on a pivot. I guess its probably pretty simple and I have a sketch in PDF form which I can send via e-mail but Im not sure if you can attach things via this page? (the known stuff I have is the COG, pivot point, and ram attachment point dimensions)
Anyway if you have the time to help out someone who knows very little about how to calculate forces please drop me a line... bcorbin@xtra.co.nz

Thanks
Brian COrbin

Answer
Hi Brian

I can certainly have a try at it, but I cannot visualize the problem yet. What is trying to push on the frame ?  What is in the frame ?  Is gravity an issue ?  Is wind an issue ?

Please send me all the information with pdf file to psoderman@direcway.com.
