Aeronautical Engineering/Carbon Fiber Aircraft Brakes

Question
I'm a student of mechanical engineering and write my diploma thesis with topic wear and tear.

I've read the article from 8/14/2003 about the carbon fiber aircraft brakes. In your very helpful answer you adduce a book or letter or something like that called the "general wear mechanism for carbon-carbon aircraft brakes proposed in 1988". Could you please tell me the source or the title of that book or letter. I'm interested in further information at this topic and also I need the scource for my references.

Thank you very much and I wish you a nice week.

Jan

Answer
Sorry Jan, as I mentioned in my answer I was quoting a brake expert at NASA Ames.  So, I don't have the reference in question nor do I remember the lady who sent me the details on braking.  Sounds like a literature search is in order.  You could probably find the lady since there are not many brake experts, let alone female brake experts at Ames.  Good luck.
