Question
Paul, I  am a grad student in Human Factors.
Do you have any information on the current trend to require a single operator to
monitor/control the flight of multiple UAVs?
Thanks:)
George

Answer
George - All I know is that a friend of mine, Jim Pugh, is doing his PhD thesis in Switzerland on the mathematics and software necessary to control swarms of robotic devices.  So, I guess the subject is of academic interest, but how close that is to reality is beyond me.  There has always been interest in the communication, mental or otherwise, of fast flying and maneuvering bird flocks, but I suspect it is little understood.
