Question
i crave to become an aeronautical engineer. But i have shortsight & my power is -3D.Is 6/6 vision necessary for an aeronautical engineer.

Answer
Hi Meera

Good vision helps, but it is not a requirement for aeronautical engineering.  A friend of mine at NASA is blind.  It is difficult for him, as he has to have students read technical papers that he cannot read.  But he has a special computer that translates text into spoken word.  I believe the text can be from any document or from one that he is typing.  As more documents become digitized for computer access, translations well become even easier.  He specializes in studies of audio clues for pilots to improve pilot efficiency.

Good luck.

Thanks.
