Question
I graduated USMA in 1988 with a BS in engineering - I am now 41 years old and want to resume my education by pursuing an educaion and career in aerospace/aereonautical engineering.  I do not have the funds to simply enroll in any college programs and I know I would need to begin with the basic courses again.  Are there any online opportunities and or financial aid programs you might be able to suggest to get me started?  I live in Savannah, GA.
Thank you for your time.

Depending on what basic courses you feel you need, you might try a junior college.  Tuition is low and the courses should transfer to any engineering college in the same state.  As to scholarships - do a Google search on scholarships for vets.  You will get many hits, but I don't know how good they are.  You can also Google engineering online and find schools that allow remote study. In person study would be more rewarding of course.  Try Georgia Tech if at all possible.

At NASA, I worked with many vets who were high caliber.  I bet job opportunities are excellent.  Good luck.
