QuestionQUESTION: sir,I have just completed my gce o & a levels.if i get a b.e degree in mechanical engineering now, will it be possible to get a masters in aerospace engineering in the future? is undergraduate aerospace a must for entering masters aerospace? i have heard that some institutions ask for undergraduate aerospace for entry into ms aerospace , is it true?will a b.e mecha degree from any varsity be accepted by any varsity for entry into ms aerospace? thank you.
ANSWER: Kratu
I have no idea what gce o & a represent, and I am not sure what a b.e. degree is. In this country the undergraduate degree is called the Bachelor of Science (B.S.). My university, U. of Washington, requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering to enter the graduate program in Aeronautical Engineering.

To get a definitive answer to your question, you must examine the entrance requirements of your school of interest. All schools reserve the right to have specific requirements, not all the same. I would expect that many engineering schools would accept either a B.S. in mechanical engineering or a B.S. in aerospace engineering to do graduate work in aerospace engineering. But there is no guarantee of that. There is also the requirement in the U.S. that you pass a graduate entrance exam. Good luck.
