Answer Quite honestly it depends on what country you wish to become an astronaut in. For the United States, it is virtually impossible to get into the space program unless you've gone through the U.S. Air Force. I would contact them through their web site or a recruiter for more details.
If you wish not to go into space but work on technology related to the space program, look at various Aeronautical and Aerospace Technology or Engineering degrees.
For other countries, you'll need to search for web sites about their space programs and almost always, there will be a "Career" section on their web site. More often than not, it's usually a process that will take you through that country's Air Force. In any case any country's space program is highly volatile and can have it's government funding cut at the drop of a hat.
