Question
dear Sir,
I am a student from India . My first degree is in computer science engineering (Bachelor of engineering(B.E)(CSE)). I am interested in doing a  postgraduate course in MBA. I wanted to know your perspective about pursuing a career in aerospace management(in consideration to my first degree).
Do you think that my first degree would be of any assistance in case of me taking up a  management course in aerospace ?
I have heard of the DAE and their MBA in aerospace management.I will be thankful to you if you can suggest any other universities that are ranked high in this field ?
How do you rate the DAE for this course ?
Would pursuing MBA in aerospace limit my career options?
Does one require any work experience ?
i would be grateful,if you could provide me some help
regarding these issues !
thank you in advance.
regards,
Shravan

Answer
Hi,

Thank you for your questions.  I will try to assist.

First of all, you background in computer science engineering will, no doubt, be of assistance in your MBA program, especially if you have experience in software applications.

Second, other institutions to check for an MBA program are:

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida, USA

Daniel Webster College, Nashua, New Hampshire

I have no particular rating for DAEU in terms of what they offer, but, I do know some of the faculty who teach there and they are good.

As far as the MBA program and your career options, I would say that IF you wish to work in the aviation field, the MBA in Aerospace would be your best option.  If you want to work outside of aviation, then, pursue a general MBA.

As far as work experience requirements, check with each program as you apply.

Best wishes to you!

Sincerely,
