Question
Greetings Mark,

I was wondering if you had any suggestions of personal aerospace projects or experiments I could attempt that would make an impression on a transcript or resume. I'm a first year aerospace student and am extremely eager to make a booming entrance and impression into the field.

Kindly,
Brock

Answer
Hi Brock,
So sorry for the delay in getting back....  yours is a tough question to answer but about the best I can suggest (that's doable) is for you to work in the UAV (or MAV) area.  This is an area that is hot as far as Aero is concerned, and it's probably something you can work in for little cost ....  many RC people and projects are out there...  also there is great interest in design (such as overall system design)
I would look into exploring those avenues to get someone's attention when it comes time to circulate your resume'.

Thanks and I hope this helps a bit,
mj
