Question
QUESTION: hi i have completed my aircraft maintenance engineering from Bangalore India i wanted to know for which all further courses (in aviation) i am eligible so that recruitment chances get higher and am i eligible for MBA in aviation or i need to do bba or any bachelor degree??

ANSWER: Hi, Kinjal:

Nice to hear from you, I will try to assist.

When checking the website of the University of Energy and Petroleum Studies, Centre for Aviation Studies, it says the following:

MBA (Aviation Management), Admission Criteria:

1.  Minimum 50% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary level (10th and 12th)

2.  Graduation with at least 50% marks from a recognized University.  [Therefore, you must have a bachelors degree first before entering the MBA in Aviation].

If you wish to consider the University of Energy and Petroleum Studies for an undergraduate degree first, they do offer the BBA (Aviation Operations), which has the following admission criteria:

1.  Minimum 50% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary level (10th adn 12th) with Maths as a compulsory subject.

For more information, the University of Energy and Petroleum Studies can be reached at http://www.ueps.ac.in/

QUESTION: i want to know do ame with mba help us recruit earlier orthere isno connection between ame and mba

Answer
Hi, Kinjal:

Thank you for your follow up question.

I am not sure what you mean by AME....do you mean Aviation Maintenance?

If so, Aviation Maintenance will be an excellent career field within aviation to build a career on.....airlines all over Asia and India have ordered a tremendous number of new airline aircraft to be delivered between now and 2016.  These deliveries will mark a new period of growth in airline history---NOW is time to get trained to be part of this growth!

So, I would recommend a "one-two punch:"  Get certificated as an AME (if that is what you mean buy aviation maintenance technician) and then build on that with the MBA in Aviation.  That combination of degrees and/or training would make you well prepared for the future of aviation and airlines.

Let me know if you need anything else,
