Question
hi... i m persuing BE in electronics & telecomunication. i've jst completed my 2nd year... i want to know about the options i have to enter the field of avionics???

Answer
While my area of expertise is answering technical questions and I should pass on this. However you have not made yourself clear as to what area of avionics you are interested in. Design and manufacturing or field service. I owned an Avionics service facility where I repaired equipment down to the smallest component. Today things are different because that type of service is no longer capable considering the complexity of the circuits. Everything today operates by computer. Even my toaster oven is controlled by a computer. Think getting a book about the history of avionics will help you see where we are heading in that field. My instrument rating was obtained using the adcock range. Today we have GPS. We have gone through ADF,VOR and Vortac,Omega,RNAV,loran and now we have GPS. What will be next?
