Question
Mr. Mckenna:

Hello, sir, my name is Tommy, and today I was informed that there are class E airports that have control towers. I almost fell off my chair because I have never encountered any in all my ten years of aviation. I have always understood that only class B,C, and D are control tower airports. I did lots of research, but my quests have come up emptied, and i am hoping that you will say there is no such thing so I can sleep better. I used FAR/AIM for the references, and they do not show examples of any. Thank you for your time, Tommy.

Answer
Hi, Tommy. As far as I can tell, there can be no such thing. If you have a control tower, you have class D airspace at a minimum. I think your research is correct. I hope you can get some sleep now. :) If whoever told you this can give me an example, I'd be very interested.
