What is the difference between Aviation and Aerospace? Thank you very much. Liana.

“Aviation” is a sub-group of the “Aerospace Industry”

Also, “Aviation” is term used for the practice of flight, while “Aerospace” is the term used for the science of flight.


Aviation
1: the operation of heavier-than-air aircraft
2: military airplanes
3: airplane manufacture, development, and design


Aerospace
1: space comprising the earth's atmosphere and space
2: a physical science that deals with aerospace
3: the aerospace industry
