Aerospace/Aviation/Air Flow around objects

Question
How does different shapes effect the flow of air around objects and why is this important in your job.

Answer
As the air goes over (or around) and object, it changes speed and the air pressure changes (if the speed goes up, the pressure goes down and if the speed goes down, the pressure goes up)....  The air pressure on the object pushes against the object and tries to move the object...so knowing what the pressure is helps us determine how the object will move (due to the air going over it)....

Hope this helps...
