Answer
Hi, Sam:

Thanks for your additional question!  I will, again, try to assist!

As far as which is the best university for you to take a B. S. in Aviation Management, that is a tough question to answer.  There is a publication that you can order entitled THE COLLEGIATE AVIATION GUIDE which lists virtually ALL universities in US and Canada that offer this degree.  This publication is available from the University Aviation Association.  You can contact them at uaa@auburn.edu or via their website at http://www.uaa.aero   The cost of this publication is around $25 US.  Some of the better universities for the B. S. in Aviation Management are as follows:

Auburn University
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
Parks College of St. Louis University
Purdue University
Southern Illinois University Carbondale
University of North Dakota-Grand Forks

In comparing universities, make sure you look at the coursework offered (the variety of courses, etc) and the faculty who teach them.  In some smaller universities, Aviation Management coursework is taught by faculty who also teach flight coursework....sometimes that is a bit of a stretch in terms of expertise.

As far as details, if you want a B. S. Aviation Management, look for that title as well as "Aviation Administration" and "Aeronautical Management" and, sometimes, "Airway Science Management."  Generally, Air Traffic Management is a degree devoted primarily to those wanting Air Traffic Control as a career.....Aviation Business Management I am not sure about.  It might have more of a theoretical business content.

As far as prerquisites to get into a B. S. in Aviation Management, contact each school to find out.  Generally, for a student with a prior Baccalaureate degree such as yourself, the admission requirements are related to your grade point average at the school where you got your first bachelors degree.  At my university, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, we require a 2.5 gradepoint average on a 4.0 scale for entry...that is right between a C and B average.  So, check the course catalogs of the schools that you are interested in attending.  Most of them are on line and can be checked over the internet.

I hope that this information helps.  Best wishes to you,

Sincerely,
