Aerospace/Aviation/Embry Riddle

Question
Good day.  I am a Naval Flight Officer and am considering doing the MBA/A at ERU (distance) but I noticed that their program is not accreditated with the AACSB, but rather the ACBSP.  They are obviously regionally accreditated through SACS, but I was wondering what your impression, or the aviation community's as a whole, is about the MBA/A degree from ERU.  Is it a respected standard or would I be better off going with a generic MBA from a respected state school such as Univ of Florida?

Answer
HI,

I think that an aspect of your decision would be to decide what sort of content that you want your MBA to have....if you want an aviation content, then, go with Embry Riddle.  If you want a more generic business content, then, go with another institution.  The bottom line is that Embry Riddle is held in high esteem in the aviation industry but is not that well known outside of aviation.  If you intend to use your degree within the aviation industry, then, Embry Riddle is a good choice.  If not, then, I would choose the University of Florida or elsewhere.

There is also an MBA in Aviation program at Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada that is quite good and IS, I believe, accredited by the AACSB....FYI,
