Question
How long can a jet engine like Boeing 747 for example can glide when it has four engine failures??

Answer
This is not really in my area of expertise....  try someone who deals with overall aircraft performance and/or one of the pilots on this site.... I will say this, the glide ratio (L/D) of a commercial aircraft with the engines off would depend greatly on how much drag you get from those (four) stalled engines....  I could find out what "best" the L/D is for the wing, but that  would only be a piece of the overall picture....  I'll bet one of the pilots on this site can help you out here....

Thanx for asking though,
mj
