Question
Does a company doing work for uncle sam and who went to the trouble to get a faa repair station cert,
have to give random drug tests and if they never have given these tests  can their cert be pulled

Answer
Hi, Tony:

I can not specifically assist you with this area of expertise.  However, I would recommend three things:

1.  Check FAR 145 to see if random drug tests are a requirement to hold the certificate.  If they are, then, the question would be:  What are the penalities involved if the drug tests are not given (as specificed in the regulation)?

2.  You can send a general email to the FAA website and ask the question.

3.  You can call your local FSDO and ask the question....

Thanks, and best wishes to you,
